Can you believe it is 2022 already? Here at Springy HQ, we're working hard on strategic plans for the year including mapping out some awesome new features coming your way, planning our training session schedule, upcoming SpringyCamps, and more.
But before we start off our 2022 blogging at 100mph, let's do our annual recap of last year's best blog posts. Without further ado, here are the best posts of 2021!

The University of Liverpool switched from non-contributing to contributing in the global chat cooperative. As such, they learned a ton of useful tips about helping patrons around the world with their research questions... which in turn helped them become better reference librarians for their own patrons. In our carefully curated world, we often don't show our failures. But it's in the fails where we tend to learn the most, and that sentiment is true here at Springy HQ. We tried to encourage social engagement with a #LibLifeReality activity to share the realities of your library life to be featured in our March 2021 newsletter. Suffice it to say, we didn't get many submissions, so our plans derailed. But, we live and learn and we still donated to the Black Girls CODE non-profit and Oscar R. Lanza-Galindo matched our donation! So while our plan didn't work, the outcome was amazing.

We often think of LibWizard as a tool for assessing patron learning, soliciting feedback, gathering book purchases requests, and more. But, LibWizard can also be used for usability testing! The librarians at the University of Notre Dame share how they used LibWizard to solicit feedback for a website redesign, improving navigation, and more.

LibCal Seats was a game-changer for libraries in 2020... helping them reopen by making it possible for patrons to book individual seats, check-in/out, with detailed records for contact tracing. These efforts didn't go unnoticed, and The New School saw an opportunity to launch LibCal Seats... campus-wide to reopen all their buildings as safely as possible. Watch their EDUCAUSE webinar now.

Last year, we revamped our LibCRM tool and gave it a new name: LibConnect! Why? Well, we added an amazing new email marketing feature that helps you increase engagement and better connect with patrons. So, it needed a new name. Explore the new, and literally improved, LibConnect.

2021 was a big year for developing integrations between Springshare and other library tools, and we were so excited to announce our partnership with Lean Library. We started the year with LibGuides integration and ended with LibChat integration. Lean Library's browser plugin allows patrons to launch LibGuides/LibChat from any webpage.
While 2021 was a challenging year for all of us, we hope Springshare helped you stay organized, connected, productive through it all. Here's wishing you a happy, healthy, and safe 2022! We're so excited to see what this year brings us, and we hope you are too!
