Code Release: New Features Coming Your Way!

The holidays are here, and we have some great gifts in store for you – the December product releases are on their way! These releases will be live in all regions by the end of the day on Friday, December 19, 2025.

LibCal

• LibMaps: We've modified the behavior when there are "combined" hotspots (ex. printers, phone charging stations, etc.) – when hovering over any of the hotspots that are "combined," they will now bring up all of the associated resources within that same map, making it easy to ex see all of the printers or phone charging stations on a given floor.

• LibMaps: We’ve addressed several accessibility issues on the various “Finder” pages, including the Spaces Finder, Places Finder, and Holdings Finder tabs.

• LibMaps: We’ve added support for III’s Sierra catalog.

LibGuides

• We’re introducing more tools to help you plan and prepare for the transition to Bootstrap 5! You can now preview all public pages (including all guides, subject pages, homepages, profile pages, etc) in Bootstrap 5, and customize your Bootstrap 5 custom JS/CSS and header code, to prepare for the transition. To get started, head to Admin > Bootstrap 5 Transition Tool. We will introduce the ability to take your public site fully live in Bootstrap 5 in January 2026.

• For LibSites-enabled clients, we’ve added a new user setting to allow Regular level users from your LibGuides site to access LibSites. Head to Admin > Accounts > Edit a Regular level account > Access LibSites to view the new setting.

• We’ve addressed several bug fixes and accessibility improvements. Visit the Lounge post for more details!

LibInsight

• We’re introducing Dashboard Analytics, to give you a high level overview of the number of times your dashboards have been viewed! Head to the Dashboard Management page > Actions > View Analytics, or head to Edit Dashboard > View Analytics button to view the new stats. Please note that stats collection begins when this release rolls out, so check back soon for more info on how your dashboards are being viewed!

• The date/time pickers across LibInsight have been updated to the native browser date/time pickers, in order to improve the accessibility of both public and internal pages. The new browser based date/time pickers are fully accessible, keyboard navigable, and easier to navigate to boot!

• We’ve made several enhancements to trends data across multiple datasets! Check out the Lounge release notes for more info.

LibWizard

• We’re introducing a new Submission Statistics report, so you can view high level information on the number of times any LibWizard asset has been viewed, started and completed. We’ve also included statistics on each asset’s completion rate, abandonment rate, and average time to complete. To see the new report, head to Forms, Surveys, Quizzes or Tutorials > in the Actions column, select View Statistics.

• We’ve expanded the File Upload field type to support multiple file uploads in a single field. To see this in action, create or edit a File Upload question in any asset, and set the "Max # of Files" setting to the number you'd prefer (up to a max of 5).

• We’ve addressed several bug fixes and accessibility improvements. Visit the Lounge post for more details!
