Code Release: New Features Coming Your Way!
By Sarah on September 18, 2026
The September product releases are on their way! These releases will be live in all regions by the end of the day on Friday, September 25, 2026.
LibAnswers
-
You can now preview exactly what a macro will do to a ticket before applying it. A new “Preview” button next to the macro selector opens the same preview you already use on the Macros admin page – handy if you have a lot of macros, or ones that aren’t clearly named.
-
The legacy “Turnaround” stats on the Answerers & Turnaround tab are retired in favor of the more complete Quality of Service (QoS) ticket metrics – you’ll find a pointer to the new stats where the old ones used to live. Head to Stats > Quality of Service to see these reports.
-
We’ve fixed several pesky bugs! Head to the lounge post to view the full details.

Hidden Events – We’re introducing a new type of event, which is perfect for capturing outreach or other internally scheduled events that librarians create, but the general public can’t see. These events can still capture all of the typical information related to an event – including things like the event title/description, event location, audience/category information, and actual attendance for the event - but the event will not display on public or private calendar pages, widgets, API calls, RSS feeds etc. To create a new hidden event, head to the create event screen and in the top “Visibility” selector, select “Event is hidden i.e. does not show on public calendar and widgets.”
-
The new-style Hours widgets now support multi-select for locations, matching the multi-select option already available for departments. They also now support custom CSS that’s applied within the widget itself, for easier styling and customization.
-
We’ve made many additional optimizations, improvements and bug fixes! Head to the lounge post for the full details.

LibConnect Pro
-
You can now send email from your own library’s domain instead of a shared Springshare one, and you can set it up yourself – no more emailing Support back and forth! Head to Settings > Configuration > Email Settings to find two new sections: Email Domains and Registered Senders. In Email Domains, add your domain, verify you own it, and set up the SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records, so your messages authenticate properly and land in inboxes instead of spam folders. Once a domain is verified, use Registered Senders to add the specific name-and-email combinations you want to send from, like frontdesk@yourlibrary.edu or notices@yourlibrary.gov.
-
SMS Toll Free Number Support – LibConnect’s SMS module now supports Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs) from Twilio, alongside 10DLC numbers. TFNs skip the 10DLC campaign registration process entirely, which can shorten onboarding if you’re setting up SMS for the first time.
-
We’ve included a new system report that shows every contact currently marked Do Not Contact because of a bad email address, which you can use to clean up your contact list and catch deliverability issues before they hurt your sending reputation.
-
New shared email address setting: Configuration > Email Settings now includes a setting for households or accounts that share an email address. Choose whether an unsubscribe applies to every patron record sharing that address, or just the one that triggered it.
-
We have an extensive buffet of bug fixes and additional improvements to share! Head to the lounge post for all of the details.

-
We’ve upgraded the administrative and public LibInsight to utilize a modern Bootstrap 5 framework with a new left-hand navigation menu. To preview this new interface, admins can head to Admin > System Settings > Look and Feel to preview all of the data recording and analysis pages. When you’re ready to make the switch, head to Admin > System Settings > Look and Feel.
-
We’ve added a new POST endpoint for importing Interlibrary Loan data, making it easier to bring your ILL records into LibInsight. Head to Admin > Widgets & APIs > Interlibrary Loan Dataset to see the new endpoint.
-
We’ve made a bunch of additional improvements and bug fixes! Visit the lounge post for all of the details.

We’ve added token support for question responses, so you can now create dynamically changing subject lines for your form/survey/etc submission notification emails – e.g. if you have a question in your form for “Title” and someone responds with “Theo of Golden,” the subject line of the form submission notification email can be formatted to say “Purchase Request Form: Theo of Golden.” To customize the subject line of your email submission notifications, head to Edit Form > Settings > Email Settings > Custom Email.

We have a tasty snack of additional improvements and bug fixes! Head to the lounge post for more deets.
