Do you do your best work when the rest of the world is asleep? We're looking for a part-time 24/7 Co-Op Reference Librarian to join our team. Available shifts are focused on very late night / very early morning hours in the U.S. We encourage applications from night owls, early risers, and applicants in time zones outside the U.S., who may find these hours a natural fit.
What Are We Looking For?
This is a fully remote, work-from-home position. The ideal candidate holds an MLS degree, brings at least two years of virtual reference experience, and has a proven track record of working independently in a remote environment.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants who have:
- Experience using LibChat in a global virtual reference cooperative and handling multiple chats simultaneously
- Flexibility with available work hours

The 24/7 Chat Co-Op is our round-the-clock chat service staffed by talented librarians (this could be you!). When academic and public libraries need an extra dash of chat coverage during holidays, after hours, or when their local librarians are swamped, the Co-Op is there for them.
