Code Release: LibApps, LibCal, LibGuides, LibInsight, LibWizard, Features Coming Your Way!

These releases are on their way to you next week, and will be live in all regions by the end of the day on Friday, September 26, 2025.

LibApps

• We’ve reorganized the My Account area, to make it easier and faster to manage your account settings.

• For security reasons, we’ve adjusted how accounts tied to multiple, separate customers can be edited. This change applies to folks that have accounts in multiple, separate institutions – for example, you have an account in a LibAnswers site at the library where you work, and also an account in a LibAnswers site for a statewide virtual reference service. Now, admins will no longer be able to edit account details or MFA settings for accounts that are primarily tied to another customer.

LibCal

• Equipment: You can now send SMS Reminders for overdue equipment items! Head to Admin > Communicate > SMS > Settings > Equipment Overdue Reminders to activate these notifications.

• LibMaps: We’ve added a new Private status option for maps. Users can only access these maps if they have the corresponding URL, and they won't show on public pages. Go to Admin > Module Settings > LibMaps > Maps > Edit an Existing Map > Manage Map Image > Public Access Level to set a map to a Private status.

• LibMaps: You can now customize the Frame Height of map widgets. Navigate to Admin > Manage > Widgets > edit Map widget to adjust the frame height.

LibGuides

• Blogs: You can now duplicate an existing blog post — including all text, images, and formatting — and use it as a starting point for a new post. To duplicate a post, click the Duplicate option from the blog post actions menu.

• Blogs: The Published On date now reflects the actual publish date instead of the created date. Drafts republished will update the date; edits to published posts will keep the original publish date.

LibInsight

• You can now add conditional logic to Custom datasets, using our new Field Rules feature! This allows you to show, hide, or navigate to fields based on the user's response to a certain question in the custom dataset. To add a field rule, head to Admin > Manage Datasets > Choose a custom dataset > Setup Fields > Field Rules.

• We've added a new dashboard to display SUSHI Fetch Failures, so it’s easier to keep track of any failures that have occurred. To view this dashboard, Admins can select the SUSHI Fetch Failures link on the LibInsight dashboard.

LibWizard

• Community Sharing is here! To browse the community for forms, surveys, quizzes and tutorials, head to the Community tab in your LibWizard site. To share your amazing content with the community, head to the Embed/Share option and select Allow Community Sharing.

• We’ve fixed a bunch of bugs and made accessibility improvements! Check out the Lounge post for details.
