LibGuides, LibApps, LibAnswers, LibCal, and LibInsight Features Coming Your Way!

We're so excited to bring you our first round of releases for 2025. And we're thrilled to share that we're starting off strong, bringing you possibly the most requested feature across our apps - Multi-Factor Authentication will be available for all of Springshare's applications, increasing the security of your data across the board.

These releases are on their way to you next week, and most will be live in all regions by the end of the day on Friday, February 7, 2025. LibApps and LibCal releases may extend into the following week, rolling out to all regions by the end of the day on Friday, February 14, 2025.

LibCal

• We've added ILS Lookup options when creating Event Registrations and Appointment Bookings on an end user's behalf! You'll see this option when creating an appointment booking via Appointments > Click a green grid slot > Create Booking, or when creating a new event registration via Events > Choose a calendar > Choose an event that requires registration > Manage Event > Registrations > New Attendee. • We've added Item Barcode and Patron Name Searching to the Equipment Booking Check Out/In pages. Head to Equipment > Check Out or Check In to see the new search.
• You can now search by item barcode when swapping equipment items. Head to Equipment > Check Out > Swap Item to see the search.

LibAnswers

• Add a Patron Identifier Field to the LibAnswers question form to collect patron barcodes when creating a new tickets. Head to Admin > Queues > Edit Queue > Question Form > Name and Email Fields to add this field to your question form.
• Display custom questions by default on the ticket answer page! Admins can head to Admin > Queues > Edit Queue > General > scroll down to Ticket Answer Page Settings > Custom Questions Display to set the custom question toggle to "open" by default.
• System Admins can delete a file attachment from a specific Chat Transcript via the Admin > Assets area.

LibGuides/LibApps

• LibApps account holders now have the option to enable Multi-Factor Authentication for their LibApps account. To enable MFA, head to LibApps > My Account > Multi-Factor Authentication.
• We've added the ability to Import Databases for both A-Z Databases and A-Z Assets. For A-Z Databases, head to Content → A-Z Database Management (New) → A-Z Databases - Main Database List page and select "Import Databases". For A-Z Assets, head to A-Z Resources → Types & Assets → View Assets and select "Import Assets".
• We've added Friendly URLs for Database Landing Pages
• We've added new fields for A-Z Assets for Attributes (New/Trial/Featured) and a Public Display Field, for more consistency with A-Z Databases.

LibInsight

• We've added a new data display option for pie charts in the Analysis > Charts Reports page, so you can now view your aggregated data in pie chart format.
• We've made several accessibility improvements to the LibInsight UI, including improving the semantic HTML for better flow and adding better success/failure messages where relevant.
