Public Libraries Implement Springshare’s Patron Point to Deliver Relevant and Timely Messaging to Patrons  

MIAMI, FL (February 2, 2024) - Springshare is thrilled to announce that the Cornwall Public Library, Scioto County Public Library, Chesapeake Public Library, and the Grapevine Public Library have selected the Patron Point platform to support their communication and marketing efforts.  

Cornwall Public Library in Cornwall, Ontario, will use Patron Point to support their mission to empower the community with access to knowledge, unique experiences, and welcoming and inclusive spaces. Cornwall Public Library has been serving the population of Cornwall since 1895; currently, their population sits at over 47,000 residents. Their vision is to provide residents with a vibrant space that inspires community engagement, social interaction, and cultural expression as part of a lifelong journey of discovery, learning, and belonging. In addition to providing access to technology, digital services, and information, the library offers a variety of events and services to the community, including crafting classes, movies, reading challenges, children’s storytimes, a knitting & crocheting group, Scrabble club, a writer’s club, and so much more.   

Scioto County Public Library in Scioto County, Ohio, has been utilizing Patron Point to deliver relevant and helpful information to their patrons. By incorporating specific customer segments within automated campaigns, Scioto County Public Library is able to support their vision to provide connection within their community and to the world by offering creative, fun, and educational services. Their patrons also enjoy access to over 370,000 resources across 5 locations, as well as a Bookmobile. 

Chesapeake Public Library in Chesapeake, Virginia, has implemented the Patron Point marketing automation platform to enhance their account notifications and increase the relevance of their email messaging. Using Patron Point’s Notices program, account messages such as holds ready and overdue notifications will gain more attention from recipients after donning a beautiful HTML design format vs. text-only notifications. Using the platform’s segment builder, CPL will better define their audiences in order to send more targeted messaging, thus increasing patron engagement. Chesapeake Public Library offers their patrons access to seven library branches across the metro area. The library system circulates more than 1.95 million items annually including an ever-expanding catalog of digital materials. 

Grapevine Public Library in Grapevine, Texas, will use Patron Point to support their mission of connecting people with information, ideas, and experiences to provide enjoyment, enrich lives, and strengthen the community. Grapevine Public Library’s collection contains over 180,000 items, including books, DVDs, audiobooks, kits, and more, as well as access to 1.4 million ebooks, audiobooks, and streaming videos and albums, circulating a total of more than 400,000 items per year. Over 21,000 people attended library programs offered last year. These programs include book clubs, craft programs, storytimes, concerts, and gaming programs.
