Springshare Forms a Dedicated Public Library Division

MIAMI (January 4, 2024) - Springshare, a leading cloud software vendor for libraries, announces the launch of the Public Library Division – a group within the company dedicated to serving the needs of public libraries.

Following the recent acquisition of Patron Point, the leading marketing automation solution for public libraries, over 1,100 public libraries around the world now use Springshare’s tools. This impressive number highlights the new Public Library Division as a significant SaaS vendor in this subset of the field. The new group will be led by Ian Downie, former CEO of Patron Point, who now becomes the President of Springshare’s Public Library Division.

"I am excited to be leading this endeavor,” commented Downie. “Our dedicated public library initiatives in the coming months and years will further differentiate Springshare as the leading software and services vendor to many thousands of public libraries around the globe.”

Springshare is launching a new public library newsletter and a public library track for their annual SpringyCamp user conference. In addition to these new initiatives, clients should expect to see an increase in public library-oriented training sessions and additional product features focused on public libraries.

The company looks forward to meeting new and existing public library customers throughout 2024 at state shows and national events, including ALA LibLearnX, ALA Annual, and the PLA Conference.

“Springshare’s mission is to help libraries – of all types – connect and engage with patrons to maximize the use of library and community resources,” said Slaven Zivkovic, Springshare Founder and CEO. “With this new division, Springshare’s public library customers will see an even greater commitment from us to serve their unique needs”.
