Learning From Each Other
The main point of attending conferences, other than seeing old friends and meeting new ones, is to learn from each other - to get inspired by what someone is doing at their institution and see if you can replicate it at yours. Of the hundreds of presentation proposals submitted, a conference can only select a fraction for their available time slots. But that doesn't mean you don't have something meaningful to share! Which is why you should consider submitting a presentation proposal to present at Springshare's booth!
While not everyone from your institution can attend the ALA-annual conference, we hate to see anyone #ALAleftbehind, so we're live-streaming selected presentations on our Facebook page - straight from the exhibit hall direct to your computers.
If you're attending the conference, join us at booth #1525 to watch presentations live or deliver one yourself! If you're #ALAleftbehind, watch selected sessions streaming live on our Facebook page! You don't need a Facebook account to watch Springshare videos, simply ignore the prompts to log in and enjoy the live-streaming presentations.
Guest speakers at Springshare's booth will receive an honorarium for their time and effort. We see and appreciate the work that you are doing!
Do You Want to Present @ Springshare's Booth?
Before we can get our amazing schedule of presentations up and live for those #ALAleftbehind, we need some amazing guest speakers... and we're looking at you! If you're attending the ALA Annual Conference, submit a proposal to present at Springshare's booth! Presentations are short, just 10-15 minutes in length, and can be done with 1 or 2 guest speakers.
We're looking for presenters who are:
- Doing interesting and innovative things with Springshare Tools;
- Involving patrons with content creation, analysis, or planning;
- Embarked on a Springshare Tool redesign and want to share the process/outcome;
- Using a Springshare Tool to better inform decision-making;
- Engaging and communicating with patrons in effective ways;
- .... and really anything at all!
We respect your time and effort!
We understand that crafting a presentation and taking time out of your conference schedule takes time and effort. And to that end, we are providing honoraria to presenters in the form of a gift-card.
