Springshare’s Heading to ALA – Booth #2639

This is our second in-person conference of 2022, and we're pinching ourselves - are we actually going to see our librarianBFFs in person?!? We can't wait. We're heading to the ALA Annual Conference in Washington DC (Booth #2639) from Friday, June 24 - Monday, June 27 and we're bringing our Springy finest just for you! Plus, we have guest speakers from Grand Canyon University Library and Mount St. Mary's University Library presenting on how they're using Springshare tools in their libraries.

For those of you @ALALeftBehind, have no fear - we've got several presentations streaming live from our Facebook page that you won't want to miss. Not on Facebook, no worries - you don't need an account. Simply navigate to our Facebook page and ignore the prompts to sign in: https://www.facebook.com/springshare. We recommend that you go to our Facebook page a few minutes before the scheduled start time.

**NEW** LibCal Heat Maps - Coming July, 2022! -  we're unveiling a brand-new feature for LibCal - heat maps! Heat maps works with LibCal's interactive mapping module to show you hot and cool spots in your library buildings.

PowerNotes & LibChat Integration (Streaming Live on Facebook) - Explore a unique integration between PowerNotes and Springshare's LibChat! PowerNotes patrons will be able to launch a live LibChat experience, powered by LibAnswers, right from their PowerNotes browser plugin or the PowerNotes project outline screen.

Engage Patrons with Email Marketing - Explore LibConnect's powerful email marketing functionality that helps you better connect with your users.

Creating Online & In-Person Events & Programs - Not everyone is comfortable attending events, large OR small, right now. Other patrons, however, are ready to get back into the library and interact with people again.

When You're Not Ready for F2F: Online Appointments - You want to be available for research consultations, and one-on-one assistance but maybe you're not ready for those to happen face-to-face. This session will cover how you can use LibCal Appointments for creating online appointments.

Reopen Safely: Manage Space & Seat Reservations with LibCal - As buildings reopen fully and mask mandates are lifted, your patrons might be nervous to be indoors and around other people... especially in your buildings. LibCal Seats and Spaces allows patrons to reserve their preferred library space or individual seat, check-in/out, and feel a bit more in control - in these out-of-control times.

Adding Automated Content to LibGuides (Streaming Live on Facebook) - Trying to come up with fresh content for your site can be time-consuming. Make things easy for you and your team by adding your existing content from other areas and sites to feed into LibGuides.

Using a Gallery Box to create an Image Grid (Streaming Live on Facebook) - In this brief session, we will show you how to use graphics and add a Gallery Box to create a grid-style layout.

Build-a-Library Instruction Quiz in LibWizard - LibWizard gives you ways to teach and test students' research skills, whether they're on campus or remote. This session will go through the different quiz options in LibWizard and have you building instruction quizzes in no time.

Staff Workers, Volunteers, & Pages with LibStaffer - Whether juggling multiple service points with different staffing needs and duties or handling restrictions on who can work when and for how long, LibStaffer takes the hard work out of staffing and scheduling so you have time for more important projects.

No conference is complete without some swag, and we're bringing some really cool goodies to ALA. We're not out of the pandemic just yet, and to that end, we're bringing you some masks and hand sanitizers to keep you safe! We do have a limited amount, so it's first-come, first-served.
