Employing Patron Point, Chatham Area Public Library intends to automate the library card sign-up process, providing quicker access to resources for their patrons. In addition, CAPL will use the platform to send targeted messaging to key user groups with the goal of increasing awareness and engagement with the library’s collection and calendar.

To bolster the library’s vision, CAPL patrons have access to a robust set of learning and entertainment options, including books, movies, and music, with digital versions of each. Further resources include research databases, career information, local history and genealogy data. To extend its cardholder’s opportunities for growth, patrons can take advantage of a variety of services such as meeting and study rooms, a memory lab, home delivery, a cafe and bookstore, as well as public computers, printers, and scanners.

Events and programs for all ages abound at Chatham Area Public Library, including children’s storytimes, book clubs, author events, trivia nights, crafting nights, skills classes, exhibits and more.
