Springshare Partners with RemoteLock to Sync with LibCal Spaces

Seamless Space Bookings Driven by Smart Lock Integration

MIAMI (November 10, 2023) - Springshare, a leading cloud software vendor for libraries, announced an exciting new integration with RemoteLock access control software for smart locks. With this integration, Springshare clients can automate access to RemoteLock-enabled library spaces through Springshare's LibCal Spaces module.

"Our goal was to simplify the room booking process so our libraries' patrons spend less time reserving a space and more time actually using that space and getting the most out of their library's resources," said Slaven Zivkovic, Springshare Founder and CEO.

When clients connect their LibCal spaces with RemoteLock software, the two systems work together to generate and deliver a unique access code for each booking.

With this integration, users will:

  • Book a space using Springshare's LibCal room reservation system.
  • Receive a confirmation email with their automatically-generated access code.
  • During their reservation time, unlock the room by entering their code on the space's RemoteLock device.

RemoteLock customers using LibCal Spaces for room reservations can contact Springshare to enable this integration in their LibCal site now. This new functionality will launch for all paid LibCal sites by the end of the year, with further integrations with additional smart lock brand devices and platforms coming soon.
