Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (NC) adopts Patron Point®

DUBLIN, OH (September 22, 2023) - Patron Point announced today that Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (CML), headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, has chosen to utilize our patron engagement platform to streamline its library card application process. Quickly putting library cards in patron's hands will help enable the library's vision of being the essential connector of a thriving community of readers, leaders, and learners.

The library was founded in 1903 as an original Carnegie Library and today operates 21 locations serving more than one million residents across the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. Featuring over 950,000 collection items, the library is well-equipped to support the joy of reading and learning, foster exploration and personal growth, and connect individuals to each other, the community and the world. Resources include everything from books, magazines, and newspapers, both in hard copy and digital formats, as well as databases and media streaming services.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library offers multiple programs and services to its patrons, including job help, skills classes, children's storytime, a STEAM program for youth, book club kits, accessibility services, community and study rooms, and much more.

Over the years, various awards and recognitions have been bestowed on the library, including the Reader's Digest Nicest Places in America award, a Charlotte Parent Readers' Favorite Award, and the Movers & Shakers Award from the Library Journal.
