Springshare Partners with Brodart to Launch Reading Recommendation Service for Public Libraries

MIAMI (July 10, 2024) - Springshare and Brodart announced today the launch of an exciting new reading recommendation service, Patron Point My Reads™. With this collaboration, users of the Patron Point marketing and automation platform can draw on robust title information provided by Brodart to automatically generate eye-catching monthly newsletters that feature reading lists on specific genres and topics.

These newsletters link directly to the library’s online catalog, where patrons can place holds on desired titles or search for additional content. By delivering personalized recommendations, libraries can increase circulation while driving patron engagement and library usage.

My Reads™ newsletters are built and sent automatically to patrons who opt into the service — no staff time is required. Flexible design templates can be adapted to match other digital communications sent through Patron Point for a seamless presentation.

Ian Downie, President of Springshare’s Public Library Division, commented, “We are delighted to be working with Brodart to launch this new service and excited about how it will evolve over the coming months.”

George Coe, President and CEO of Brodart Co., added, “Springshare’s Patron Point is the premier community and patron engagement platform. This partnership will leverage our unrivaled title data and knowledge of the public library market, allowing both companies to help public libraries throughout the country engage more deeply with their patrons.”
