"Does our LibGuides content follow accessibility best practices?" This was the question that NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) librarians asked themselves – and with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II deadlines approaching, you may be asking yourself the same thing.
Good news! Our Learning Lab: Improving LibGuides with Springshare's Accessibility Report will show how NWACC moved from assessment to action through a practical approach to accessibility. Join us on Wednesday, February 11 at 2pm ET for this timely webinar.
Last year, the NWACC Library partnered with Springshare's Consulting Team to conduct an accessibility review evaluating LibGuides content against ADA and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards. While the report provided valuable insights, the real work was translating those findings into improvements.
In this Learning Lab, NWACC's Autumn Roberts will share how the library trained staff with varying levels of accessibility experience, divided remediation work into manageable steps, and used external accessibility tools to support the process.
