Code Release: New Features Coming Your Way!

Written by Sarah | February 13, 2026

Here we are in February, and our code releases just might make you swoon – the February product releases are on their way! These releases will be live in all regions by the end of the day on Friday, February 20, 2026.

LibAnswers

  • We're adding a new Look and Feel settings area (modeled on the LibGuides look and feel settings) to make it easy for you to set your preferred text styles and colors, button colors, and link style and colors. Admins can find these new settings by heading to Admin > System Settings > Look and Feel > Style Defaults.

  • We’re bringing you a fully refreshed, Bootstrap 5 friendly suite of LibAnswers single-type widgets! To find these new widgets, head to Admin > Widgets & API > Create or Edit a widget.

  • You can now copy-paste images into LibChat, both on the operator and patron side of the conversation!

  • You can also turn off the sound for specific chat actions – so if you want to hear sounds for patron chats but not for internal chats, now you can! Head to your account settings > LibChat Access > Audio Alert Customizations, and set any of the chat events to "No Sound".

  • LibMaps now integrates with EBSCO’s FOLIO locate! Head to Admin > LibMaps > Discovery Layer Integration > FOLIO Locate Integration to get started.

LibInsight

  • We’re introducing a new Trash Can feature for datasets, so if you delete a dataset and all its associated data, you’ll have up to 30 days to restore that data without Support’s intervention. Head to Admin > Trash Can to see any datasets that have been deleted following the release.

  • We’ve made several additional small bug fixes to help improve the daily use of LibInsight!

LibSites

  • We’ve improved the ability to resize images, including using pixels to define an image’s height/width, and introducing object fit properties to control how an image should be stretched or cropped to fit its container.

  • We've added a way to resize icons using pixels, so it's much easier to set a series of icons to use the same height/width.

  • We’ve improved the CSS validation found in the Custom JS and CSS areas. We've implemented a new linter which you can opt in to running, and you'll be able to save the custom CSS you create regardless of whether or not it passes validation.
